The Lord Mayor’s Show

Nearest Tubes:  Procession - Bank, Cannon Street, St Paul’s, Monument, Mansion House; Fireworks - Blackfriars, Temple

This year marks the 800th anniversary of the Lord Mayor’s Show, one of London’s longest-running and most popular events. There are various exciting events to choose from, including the traditional river pageant and spectacular fireworks display that will celebrate the end of the new Lord Mayor’s first day in office. The flotilla will set off at 9am towards HMS President, passing through Tower Bridge, which will open in salute at 9.25am. Following this is the most anticipated part of the show: the carnival-like procession starting at Mansion House, continuing along Poultry towards the Royal Courts, where the Lord Mayor will pledge allegiance to the Crown, and returning via the Victoria Embankment. Before the magnificent fireworks display over the River Thames, which starts at 5.15pm, spectators will be able to enjoy guided walking tours of the City of London, with donations supporting the Lord Mayor’s Appeal.

Monmouth Dean are very excited to be the letting agents for 1 Old Jewry, a modern office space that overlooks Poultry at the start of the procession. This prime city office is in a very desirable location – even more so on Saturday 14th!
