Criterion Capital, who own a substantial amount of Leicester Square including the landmark Trocadero, have appointed Monmouth Dean to advise on various office buildings on their Estate. The niche agency practice are immediately marketing the vacant office floors at 33 Charing Cross Road, Covent Garden (formerly known as Alhambra House). Partner Rhys Evans confirmed that “Criterion are proactive, ambitious and hungry to succeed with their grand plans for the area. This confident attitude creates a perfect synergy with Monmouth Dean’s own business philosophy and was one of the reasons why we were appointed.” He continues, “we are aware that some of our new rival practices also pitched for the work, but we believe it was our youthful enthusiasm and determination to succeed that won us the instruction. As soon as we proved that, the job was ours and I have to say it was one of the shortest pitches ever made.”
Criterion have established themselves as a major landowner in the entertainment centre of London with some significant purchases. “There are exciting times ahead with this new client as they unveil massive redevelopment plans over the next few years. Leicester Square is the jewel in the crown of this prime Central London location and to be involved with its future is simply fantastic.”
