Former Adidas warehouse offices acquired in Covent Garden

Media clients of Soho based Monmouth Dean have taken a lease on Adidas’s stunning former 8,000 sq ft Covent Garden office in Langley Street, WC2.

Like many of the buildings in the Long Acre area, the property was originally built as a warehouse that served the Covent Garden market. In fact, the area has a fascinating history. Many of the buildings were constructed (and are still owned) by the Mercers, one of the most famous of London’s livery companies. These are institutions set up when medieval merchants banded together to form guilds or fraternities, also known as 'misteries'. These guilds protected the interests of a particular trade and own significant property holdings, mainly in Covent Garden and the City of London.
