Where? Along the River Thames between London Bridge and Tower Bridge
Nearest Tubes: London BridgeDates: Until the 31st October
There is never a lack of things to do in London and this summer is no exception. From the screening of sporting events to theatre performances to DJ sets, London Bridge City Summer Festival has got all of your entertainment needs covered for the next few months. Until the end of October there is an extensive programme of events to choose from, including screenings of films such as Top Gun and Purple Rain and music sets from the likes of Peter Conway and Carnaby’s.
There are currently live broadcasts of Wimbledon at The Scoop venue, with the same location scheduled to stream the Rio Olympics throughout August. What better way to support team GB than sitting by the River Thames clutching a piña colada. There are also various pop-up bars and street food stalls at the festival’s main food and drink location, London Riviera, next to City Hall.
For the more health-minded among us there are a number of fitness events taking place throughout the festival, such as free yoga and pilates sessions and London Bridge’s very own ‘Fight Klub’, a high intensity boxing and kick-boxing workout.
This summer festival is free for everyone so be sure to make the most of it! Whether you pop in for a quick drink, settle in to watch a film or set yourself up for a day of watching Wimbledon, London Bridge is the place to be this summer.
